Happy Monday

Things are back to normal- we are home and we are back in school.  I don't really have much to say-but I have plenty to do from us being gone for Thanksgiving.  So I will just leave you with a picture I took a couple weeks ago of my handsome Boy Wonder.  Have a wonderful Monday-and hopefully I will have my energy back so that I can share some fun things that have happened.

His words from the everyday....

#1- C: Mommy, why does the bottle of water have bubbles in it when you take a drink?

Me: Because it is the air escaping into the bottle of water

C:  Oh!  I thought it was your thirst leaving!

We were on our way to a friends house to play......

#2 C:Haahahaha, Mommy....

Me: Yes, Caleb

C:  I am going to look like Mr Bob {husband of my friend}..

Me: Huh?

C:  Look!  It is because, I have a chocolate milk jug mustache!

******

We were traveling to church one day and Caleb was being a little noisy

so...

#3 Greg:  Caleb, can you please be a little quieter?

Caleb: Why?

Greg: Because silence is gold....

Caleb:  So what is silver?

******

Caleb was in his Sunday School Class and his teacher asked him to quote the Ten Commandments.  So he quote them and went on to coloring.  Well, something happened and his teacher said

#4 Teacher:  Caleb you just broke one of the commandments..do you know which one it was

He got all concerned and asked her...

Caleb:  Was it thou shalt not commit adultery?

Caleb was sitting in the car with two of his buddies from church

#5 Me: Okay Caleb it's time for the guys to leave

Caleb: Awwww, can you guys come live at my house?

#6Caleb: Mommy if you have another kid like me you can name them Caleb too

so then if I die because I got run over you would still have a Caleb

{so morbid!}

DEFINITIONS:

Buddy:  This is a male friend-do not reference this to a friend that is a girl!  You will be told no Mommy

she's not a boy....I have yet to find out what you call a girl that is your friend.

Haraboom: This is the sound that the fast train makes-do not say it is the sound that the slow train makes

you will be corrected very, very quickly!

Guess What?! So Sad But Yet So Happy...

Caleb road his bike without the use of his training wheels today!!!

They got all bent up and he was riding all over the church parking lot....it was so cute!

Then Greg took off his training wheels and he was riding his bike all by himself!!!!!

So BitterSweet!!  Snif*  My Little Boy Wonder is growing up so quickly!

Boy they grow up so quickly!!! He starts Kindergarten next week!

WOW!!!! 1,005 hits on my blog!!! I can't believe it!!!

My boy and I had a wonderful day today!!!  We spent time with some friends-Thank you Tuckers!!!  And then we went to Toy's R Us to spend his $3.00 giftcard that the Toy's R Us Co. sent for his birthday.  We went out to lunch-just the two of us.  Yummy Chick-fil-a!!!  Of course if you ask Caleb what this place is called he will tell you "Triple A".  He is so funny!!  It was just so much fun!!  So I figured for the marking of hitting 1,000 views on my blog I would post about My Boy Wonder.

And I want to thank you for your readership!!  I am hoping that by the end of the year to have over 50 followers-and see if we can't do a giveaway or two-we will see.  If you have any idea's or topics you would like to see just leave me a comment-I would be very glad to hear it!!!  Until then....

His birthday is July 27th:)this Tuesday-we have lots of fun things planned for him:)

Now I just have one more to make and two ties to pair with it.

A Day in the Mouth of Caleb:

Today we were driving home and came up to a stoplight. I hear Caleb start to whisper beside me...
"Mr. Ice cream Man-I am sorry but I don't have enough monnies to buy any ice cream today..I am so sorry."
I looked over at him to see who he was talking to. I saw that we were pulled up beside a ice cream truck. The nice driver was smiling (it almost seemed like he knew what he said)and he waved back to Caleb. It was so cute:)

During our Family Devotions Tonight:

Caleb:"I know what one of the plagues was in the Bible towards the Egyptians. They had oils everywhere...all over there body."
Me: "Do you mean boils?"
Caleb: "Oh....yes boils they had boils everywhere." :)

A lady at church asked Caleb how his cat was doing.....
Caleb "She's doing okay-but she's not good. She tried to bite me when I kept her in my room."
The Lady: "Did you bite her back?"
Caleb: "No, that wouldn't be a good thing! You would get a lot in your mouth"

With that of course I had to ask: "How would you know that?"

He looks at me like I should know this; "Because she has lots of hair on her back!!!" He could of added a DUH to me,at least that is what his face looked like. I just wasnt't sure if maybe he had tried it and learned the lesson quickly:)

A Day in the Mouth of Caleb:

"Mommy, do you think I can watch some tv? It is just some not a lot because I don't want my brain to rot and my teeth to fall out..."

Caleb is listening to Greg's sermon-he said"Mommy can you pause it,I need to go potty, I don't want to miss hearing Jesus' Preaching (meaning- Hearing about Jesus)-because I love Jesus. Don't go onto anything else please. I like to hear preaching."

Caleb the Gun Slinger

I asked him if he was gonna smile for me and he said "No, I am being serious." I guess only the non serious Gun Slingers smile. I did a little video of him also-in this one he says that he is and army guy:) He is so funny!! He has two guns in the one pocket and the recorder in his hand (to make music I guess). I asked him how old he was and of course he gave me a Cole answer-ornery to the max!

And if you are a Cole and you are reading this you understand me totally!:)

He is such a delight and if I missed any of these moments I think that would be a crying shame! Love ya Boy Wonder!!!

A Day in the Mouth of Caleb & Other Things:

*Caleb is learning the Books of the Old Testament so here is some of his books that he miss spoke in the beginning:
Genesis, Exodus, levitoronomy ......
Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songbirds.....
Lamentations, Ezekiel, Danny-O, Hosea

*A few months ago-when Nana and Papa were here-I had asked Caleb to go upstairs and get his socks on, he replies with..."I can't, we are too poor." Random-I know, some of the things he comes up with!

*"Caleb, can you help me do ......" "Sure Mommy, since you asked so nicely.":)

*"No, I won't play on the train tracks, because I don't want to go to heaven sooner than Jesus wants me to.....that would be weird!!"

That is all that I can think of for right now...my dear random little guy!!!He does sure give me some serious giggles!!

Haraboom....

Thomas and Caleb

Thomas and Caleb spend-hours of time together building huge train landscapes with electricity:). He loves trains so much that when we ask him to put them away he cries...but reluctantly he puts them away; like an obedient boy should. He constantly checks the back yard when the trains go by and gets all upset if he misses a single one. He is the most energetic little one we know. He is so sweet and loves to help-"Mommy can I dust? Mommy can I help you make that cake?" and so on. This little guy is often sitting looking at the train books-making noises as he turns each page and points to the different train pictures. Often, you can hear him saying "Haraboom Haraboom Harboom" as he turns the page. I am told that that is the sound that slow trains make-fast ones sound like this(don't think that I can figure out a way to spell this though) then he says that the really fast trains he can't make a noise for them-they are just too fast. He is so adorable!!! My little train lover!!! And one day-he might not like trains as much-so for now I am going to enjoy them with him-he always asks if I like trains, do you know what I tell him? "Of course, I do!" And he asks me why I like trains, and I tell him: "Because you like trains and I love you, so naturally I like the things that you like!" And with a smile he runs off to make some more train sounds. Who knew not just the pitter patter of feet would make me smile but also the sound of "Haraboom".

He Will Go Outside Just So That He Can See Each And Every Train Go Through Behind Our House-Kid You Not! He Will Get Upset Sometimes If He Misses One...:)Enjoy-Pardon His Clearing Of The Throat At The End.
