TUTORIAL-Made by Me-Flower-Button Jar

Here is the tutorial for the
Flower-Button Jar
(such an original and creative name isn't it?!)

Supplies:
1 decrative jar-any type-I used canning jars
1 pair of wire cutters
buttons
scissors-to cut the ribbon
a few bunches of flowers
& ribbon

I am sure that almost every crafter or seamstress
has a "few" jars of buttons around the house.
Me?  I have ummmm-5-6 jars of these around the house

I ♥ buttons
they are just so neat!!

If your buttons are not in jars and they around the house

I'll sit Here and wait........

ahhhhhh-so relaxing................. : )

Okay-you have everything now?
GREAT!!

Like I said in this post earlier this beautiful display is really easy!!

If you had to go searching high and low for buttons

then that was probably the hardest part of this tutorial-

it is smooth sailing from here!

On to the tutorial:

1. Put your buttons in the jar-fill it up all the way or 3/4 of the way

2. Use your wire cutter to cut the stems of your flowers
to the height you want them displayed in your jar

3. Arrange your flowers in the jar by sticking the stems into the buttons.
The buttons are a good stabalizing material

4.  After arranging the flowers cut a piece of ribbon
and tie it at the mouth of the jar
(I used wired ribbon so that I can form it to how I wanted it to lay)

And Viola!
You have made yourself something
that not only looks nice
but serves a purpose.
Hope you enjoyed my tutorial

this is my second one!!

: )

If you have any questions feel free to ask!

I will happily respond!

New Sewing Studio/Room

Do you  like my new sewing room?!

HAHHAHA-just kidding-but isn't this beautiful?
I really like this picture!!

A girl can dream right?
 Hahhaha-
but I guess this would be more like a cubical type of working...
since I have insane issues with claustrophobia
this probably is not a good design for me : )

Final Alteration-Sizable Waist!! First Pair D-O-N-E!!!!!!

Woo Hooo!!!!  I made my first alteration for making a sizable waist on Sunday.  You know the elastic waists that are in some of younger children's clothing?  Well, I am  a personal seamstress to a dear friend-and she was wondering if I could make a pair of uniform pants for school into a "sizable" size-so that her younger son would be able to wear them when he gets old enough for school-so I said sure I would give it a go....

All in all I am very excited about it and I think it turned out well-course I will check with her to see if this is what she wants-before I do the other pair : )
UPDATE: She seemed to really like it : )

I am just so excited that these turned out well!!!  Especially with no help from the internet!!  As far as I could find there wasn't a single tutorial on how to make a sizable waist-can you believe it?!!!  So I did it all on my own : )!
Here is a picture of the
NEW......
SIZABLE.....
PANTS:
Up Close : )

Is anyone interested in a tutorial in learning how to make this?  If so please leave me a comment....:)
