THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FOR MY BLOG READERS and kinda Adoption Diary update

Well, the adoption proceedings are going well. 

So far no hiccups. 

And we just found out that.......

 We're expecting!!!!!

HAHA-I am not kidding! 

I am about 5 weeks along and have my first ultrasound in about a week and a half;

I have been craving all things lemon, {lemonade, lemon water ice,a piece of lemon...}

and pickles-garlic pickles! 

 And I found out that I really really like lemon water ice and a garlic pickle at the same time

they are so good together!!!!

WHO KNEW!!!!

Anyways-looks like we will have our hands full in a few months-haha

Lydia is gonna have a little brother or sister

Who knew she would be a big sister before she was even born!

The Lord is just too good to us!!

It has been a long haul with secondary infertility for 5 years!!

It is almost like He is opening up the doors for us!!

So I will have two kiddos hopefully by March of next year:)

My due date {at this time and moment}

is

February 17, 2012

I am so excited that God would give us a double blessing!!

He is just too kind!!

I guess that is our life in a nut shell now-haha

We will double our home in 10 months-just almost surreal!!

Adoption Diaries May 17th...

I know that it has been a while since I have posted.

Between school, church, adoption processes

I seem to be barely getting things done around our home.

I have taken a moment to take a breath and share what is going on

at this moment....

Friday is our final meeting to finish our Home Study!!!

Yeay!! We will Celebrate with a Starbucks Frapp!!

We have had to hire three lawyers for the adoption processes.

Right now we are at a hurry and wait process...

the lawyers are getting all our paperworks together.

Summer is coming and things are picking up at a quick pace...

Adoption Diaries April 29th

Here is the profile picture of Lydia!!!

How precious she is!! 

 I am so excited to have received these in the mail!!

The Lord is so good!

She is a healthy 1lb and 6 ozs!!!

 

Adoption Diaries April 25th...

We just received word that our closing for our loan is this Wednesday!!!

That means that by Monday the money should be available to start the legal

process and hire our two lawyers!!

And I heard word that the ultrasound pictures are being sent today...

Eeeeeee I can't wait to see them!!!

We also have our next meeting this Friday with our Home Study Worker

Get this..we are meeting at the Starbucks in Target-hahahha

Guess we will have to sacrifice and get a Carmel Frappe from them!

Sigh, the sacrifice's we have to make...hahaha

It has been an amazing three days {well, four now} since we found out the baby

is a girl-and we have seen the Lord provide for so much so far!!

We recently purchased a crib from a sweet lady for $25.00

and it's white-squeal-just what color I wanted it to be!

Then we found out that my parents found a car seat and a stroller for us;

my mom also has Lydia's changing table at her house

then a sweet lady in our church said that she had a set of crib sheets and bedding for us

and some girlie clothes....oh and we bought a few girlie clothes too-hahahha

I just couldn't help myself! {big grin}

God's amazing hand at work!!!!

I can't wait to turn around in five months and see all that God has provided for us!!

{I can't wait until five months!!  Then I get to hold my Lydia in my hands!! The

little girl that I have been praying for, for about four years}

God is just so Good!!!

Adoption Diaries April 22nd the BIG Annoucement!

Well, everyone has been wondering if we found out if the baby is a boy or girl...

Well, I am happy to annouce that the baby is healthy and that.....

I am so happy and I have been praying for 5 1/2 years for this

I am so grateful to God for answering my prayers!!!

We are jumping for JOY!!

God is so good!!!

We enjoyed our little vacation day and went to Longwood.

Updates, Photos and Adoption Diaries April 8th

Our meeting with our Worker went well.

We have lots of paperwork to have filled out.

We need 3 references, 3 physicals done, finance/budget papers, FBI clearances as well as

state clearance, child abuse clearances, W2's, and a few other paper works.

We also have to write our own Autobiographies!!

There are twenty or more different topics to be covered in our autobiographies.

Jenn (our Worker) asked a lot of questions today.

How we met and ended up getting married,

what are our strengths as a couple,

and a few other things.

We will be busy this next month for sure!!

We have another meeting planned at the end of the month.

Busy, and busier......

But this shall help the time go by quickly.

We will also have to rearrange our sleeping/spare room quarters.

I will be starting Discipleship Training with one of the ladies in our church.

It will also help keep me occupied and busy.

Oh, and we have a field trip on Monday-and I will get to go!!!

I am so excited that I get to go on a field trip with my boy!!!

Well, I think this brings you up to what is happening around here.

Update and Adoption Diaries April 7th

Today has been such a good day!!

I had fun going out for dinner with my dear family.

And we also went shopping for some baby items.

We picked up some more diapers, and some A&D ointment, and a few other things.

We looked at cribs, and other delicious baby things!

Tomorrow is our first meeting

and I will have a lot to share with you after the meeting is over.

I do know that we have to get FBI and criminal checks.

Jen {our worker} will check our home and the room that is to be the baby's.

I am very excited-and can't wait to share!

Adoption Diaries April 6 and Updates

I received a call from our Social Worker today.

We are going to be having our first appointment on Friday!!

She will be coming to our house for an inspection and an interview.

How exciting!!

We are offically on the roll for the adoption!!!

Now, we are just waiting on our financing.

God is so good!!

 He is too much and he is very excited about getting a baby brother or sister.

He says that he is really hoping for a sister-only 15 more days til we find out...

I am so glad to see how he is starting to share in the excitement!!

Adoption Diaries April 1 and Updates

Well,

we officially started our process for starting our

Home Study!!

We signed our papers today.

They say that it can take 6-8 weeks to finish a

Home Study.

We have to get background, criminal, and abuse checks done.

I am not sure what else we have to get done,

but I will be glad to post what happens.

Oh,

We are also waiting for our finacing to come through

this can take from two weeks to a month.

On other Updates: 

Tents and coloring is how we spent the begining of this week.

A semi-joyful little Boy Wonder running around

talking a mile a minute. 

Then the rest of our week turned into this:

My poor little boy sick as can be.

I had to go get him from school Tuesday

and when he came home that is what he did....

I feel bad taking a picture

but he was asleep as soon as his head hit the cushion

He is still not feeling too well-he is a little pale too.

I am hoping he will be on the mend very soon;

we haven't been able to do any of his homeschooling yet either.

I have never seen him this sick for this long!

Poor kid! Maybe just maybe he will be much better tomorrow!

Our Updates and Adoption Diaries March 29

Wow!!! Time flies when your busy!!

Hubby said that I could take a break today

and not have to worry about adoption paperwork!

Oh and poor Boy Wonder has a cold-he sounds awful!

I feel bad for him-but hopefully he will make it through the school day.

I was contacted by a few of my friends and family and blog readers;

and they expressed the interest in me documenting this process of adoption.

So I will work hard to try document everything that is happening

and/or will happen.

I hope that this information is useful and that it encourages you.

UPDATE ON CUTIE PIE:

Well, we have heard news that we will find out if the baby is a girl or a boy

on April 21 st!!! 

I can't wait!

Maybe I will get some ultrasound photos.

On the other side of news...

I spent most my afternoon yesterday calling our

attorney/lawyers

getting some finalizing information.

It was a long day that is for sure.

I learned more yesterday than I think my brain could hold.

We have to have two lawyers to go through this adoption.

As you can imagine that means the price is a little higher with having to

pay for two lawyers.

The costs will be about $6,000 for both unless it takes more time-

then we are looking at $250 an HOUR!!!

{I am in the wrong business that is for sure!! :)}

We also have to do a homestudy which will cost $2,500

Then we need to figure our hotel costs{if we need one}

and our gas costs in traveling down to

North Carolina, etc....

So we are figuring by the time all is said and done

and preparing for any misshaps

we will be looking at $12,000 for this adoption.

{"My" child is worth it and has longer lasting value

than anything else that I could buy.]

I am not sure how we will come up with the money to afford this adoption

but...

God will provide a way!!

He always has and always will.

Through hard work and determination this will turn out to be

All to God's glory!!

Well, there is a lot more that I can share-but I will leave it for the next post.

Like I said-my head is filled to the brim with new knowledge of things...

all for the better I am sure:)

to go for planning for our little blessing to come home.

 

We will be searching

adoption attorney in our area to represent us.

We have had word that the baby will be released to us at birth!

We are thrilled to hear of this news!

Besides this our day has been busy.

I have started a Journal for writing down each step of the way;

and the feelings and prayers that we have everyday.

I want to look back on this and look at how the Lord led us through all of this.

I can't wait to see what the Lord has for us!!

I picked this name because it means

"God has answered"

and truly God has answered my prayer!

Pray for peace for Ellie and strength as she goes through this time.

Pray for our friendship as well-I want to be a friend that she can turn to.

Pray for her parents as well; as they encourage her through out the process.

The Lord has taken a little life and changed {or will change}so many other people's lives!!

Please pray for the adoption to run smoothly as well.

I think that we have to have a home study done and then we can proceed to other legal matters.

I am praying that everything will be complete by the time our little blessing is born

{at least everything finished by the first month of life for the little one}
