Global Warming, Carbon footprint, too much CO2 emissions....this is the controversy of the day.  I want to touch on one of these worries that have sprung up......
What is CO2 and should we be worried?

Taken from Wikipedia:

"CO2 is a chemical compound composed of two oxygen atoms covalently bonded to a single carbon atom. It is a gas at standard temperature and pressure and exists in Earth's atmosphere in this state. CO2 is a trace gas comprising 0.039% of the atmosphere.

Carbon dioxide is used by plants during photosynthesis to make sugars, which may either be consumed in respiration or used as the raw material to produce other organic compounds needed for plant growth and development. It is emitted during respiration by plants, and by all animals, fungi and microorganisms that depend either directly or indirectly on plants for food. It is thus a major component of the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is generated as a by-product of the combustion of fossil fuels or the burning of vegetable matter, among other chemical processes. Amounts of carbon dioxide are emitted from volcanoes and other geothermal processes such as hot springs and geysers and by the dissolution of carbonates in crustal rocks."

So let's see if I get this straight-plants need CO2 without it they would not produce and then they would die-WOW-so why are we trying to get rid of CO2?

Oh, Here wait a minute! Don't we exhale CO2?

Why yes we do, because it is a waste product of the respiratory system. We inhale air, and our longs filter out the needed oxygen which is sent to the tissues of our body. In the process, the lungs get rid of waste by exhaling CO2.  As we see here-we NEED CO2-it is part of how we live.
Light Bulb idea!!!

I know how to stop this "global warming"!  We all need to just stop breathing!  Then we will "save" the earth.....I don't know about you, but I know a few people that don't use all there air and a few that could use a little less air...heheehe just kidding-but seriously-why is the govt going into such a dramatic turn over this supposed global warming, what is there reason?  I don't know the answer to this question, but I do have the right to be informed and to make my own decisions. There is nothing wrong for standing up for something-as long as you have the correct facts.
So now that you know what CO2 is, you can relax and take a deep breath!  Just be sure that you don't let that breath out
 just kidding....
{hahahha-a double "pun"}
At least, I do find humor in these things-I hope you do too.

Have a wonderful CO2 "filled" day!
